The all-new 5-door Astra will be launched at next year’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
Following the arrival of the Insignia, the fourth generation Astra echoes Vauxhall’s new design ethos giving it a premium feel which is reflected in the host of features which will be found on the car. Such technical innovation and groundbreaking design will set new standards in the compact sector.
Class-leading dynamics will be delivered by an all-new chassis and new engines will maximise low-end torque resulting in improved fuel consumption.
Highlights
The Front Camera System, which also debuted in the Insignia, combines traffic sign recognition with a lane departure system, improving occupant safety and potentially helping drivers avoid fines.
Another Insignia feature will be Next generation Adaptive Front Lighting (AFL) which adapts to different road and driving conditions by providing nine unique light beams, improving visibility and safety during night-time driving.
New Astra will borrow from some of its other siblings including Corsa – the clever and practical FlexFix integrated carrier will be borrowed from this car.
