Eden Vauxhall Newbury provides back-up for charity cyclists

Eden Vauxhall Newbury has provided a ‘set of wheels’ to help two cyclists in their charity fund-raising pedal push from Land’s End to John O’Groats.

General manager Will Smith has provided the pair with a vehicle to carry their cycle spares, energy drinks, food and clothes when he was approached for help by a customer, also a friend of the cyclists. The support vehicle – a Vauxhall Zafira will be driven by a team of three and follow the route taken by the cyclists Mark Crick and Steve Parker.

The pair will set off on 15th May and plan to arrive in John O’Groats on 27th May cycling between 70 and 100 miles a day to complete the 1,017 mile challenge.

Mark aims to raise £3,000 for Sobell House Hospice in Oxford whilst Steve hopes to raise the same amount for the Oxford Children’s Hospital.
