Apprenticeship Launches at Newbury

Eden Vauxhall Newbury has launched a technician’s apprentice scheme with the appointment of two school leavers.

Troy Radbourne and George Cook, both aged 16, joined the business this summer after completing their GCSEs.

The youngsters will undergo a three-year apprenticeship which includes college-based learning and manufacturer courses as well as working alongside Eden’s qualified Vauxhall technicians.

Said Eden Vauxhall Newbury’s general manager Will Smith: “Whilst the Vauxhall apprentice technician scheme is well established, it is the first time we have appointed apprentices under the programme. This very much forms a part of the Eden philosophy of giving something back to the community which supports the business. We are confident these two young men will prove to be extremely valuable members of our staff.”
