Known locally as ‘Vauxhall Corner', a Vauxhall business has existed at this site for more than 35 years. Although none of the current staff were employed at the very beginning, the dealership's longest member of staff had clocked up 34 years by the time it had taken on its new Eden name. Eden Exeter has so many long-standing employees that their combined experience at the business and consequently with Vauxhall, totals more than 280 years and more than 200 years experience is the preserve of the parts team alone! And there are even second generation employees.

Not surprisingly then, that the business also prides itself on keeping its loyal band of customers well and truly happy as well as attracting and retaining new customers. The retailer has always maintained its ‘family' business feel and has embraced the new smaller group culture that Eden brings.

However, as a large business - a 10-car showroom, 100-vehicle used car display, 15-bay workshop operated by a team of 13 technicians and a 16-strong sales team - all the efficiencies and processes associated with a large Plc are in place with a new emphasis placed on even slicker practices.

Eden Exeter also excels in specialist areas. The business is the VXR8 centre for the South West with expertise of this niche sports car product in both the sales and aftersales team. A dedicated Motability specialist is supported by a number of specially trained staff to ensure the needs of customers are met by people who know the scheme inside out. Due to its location easily accessible by a number of military camps in the region, Eden Exeter provides an aftersales service which helps keep the armed forces mobile.
